REMINDER: The Greater St. Charles County Chamber Does Not Endorse Candidates Running For Office
Every four years, when there is a major national election, the Chamber gets calls from members and businesses who are dissatisfied with the candidate endorsements made by either the United States Chamber of Commerce or the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The Political Action Committees of both of these organizations endorse candidates based on legislator support for their legislative agendas.
Given the current state of political affairs in our country, I am confident we will hear from many not happy with the endorsements either organization may announce. In fact, we may get more calls.
This year, we want to be proactive in reminding everyone that all Chambers operate independently of one another.
The St. Charles Regional Chamber only supports issues we believe is in the best interest of our community, local businesses, and our members – never candidates.
We are members of both the US Chamber and Missouri Chamber. Being a staff of only four, memberships in these organizations help us to keep up-to-date on various issues and initiatives at both the federal and state level. The Board of the St. Charles Regional Chamber only joins coalitions and signs off on letters of support on issues that fit our policy positions.
