BJC St. Peters Introduces K-9 Therapy Dog with Ribbon Cutting

Mark Turnipseed, President of the Barnes – Jewish Hospital Foundation, along with Gina Calder, President of Barnes -Jewish St. Peters Hospital and St. Charles County Police Chief Kurt Frisz introduced K-9 Millie at a Meet & Greet ribbon cutting on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Joining Mark, Gina and Chief Frisz were hospital staff, members of the St. Charles County Police Force, representatives with the Cottleville – Weldon Spring, O’Fallon and St. Charles Regional Chamber, as well as St. Charles Regional Chamber President / CEO Scott Tate and several Ambassadors of the Chamber.

BJC St. Peters Hospital Foundation and St. Charles County Police, through generous donations were able to aquire Millie, along with her training, associated equipment and supplies. Millie will be a tremendous asset to the police department’s ability to conduct community outreach through its school resource officer program, attend special events and assist with traumatic or emotional calls for service. Millie’s service will help bridge the gap between the police department and community by offering support during times of crisis.
