Walmart St. Peters Celebrates Remodeled Store with Ribbon Cutting
Store Manager Cheryl Morrison, celebrated the completion of a major remodel of the St. Peters Walmart Supercenter with a ribbon cutting on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Joining Cheryl was City of St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano and City Administrator Russ Batzel, her management team, team members, ambassadors and staff with the St. Charles Regional Chamber. Located at 1661 Jungermann Road in St. Peters, Walmart Supercenter invested nearly $8 million dollars for this renovation and many upgraded and new features.
Cosmetically, the upgrades feature a new floor throughout the store and a fresh coat of paint. New fixtures can also be seen throughout the store and new signage. Customers will notice a market fulfillment center – a compact, modular warehouse built within the store – to be used to fill pickup and delivery orders, while an electric van is on order for home deliveries.
Other upgrades include new cart rails inside the store and in the parking lot, new gondolas inside and more checkout lanes – with both a cashier and self-scan lanes. One other noticeable change includes “shops within the store” with different departments having their own space.
At the end of the ceremony, Cheryl presented a check for $2,000 to representatives of the St. Peters Police Department.
